Welcome to the Fijian Drua Super Rugby Team to Seahorse Stadium.
Well, the blogs have been out of commission for a while and so what better way to let everybody know about the upcoming season with some great photos of the Fijian Drua playing their internal trial game at our beautifully appointed grounds.
A lot of work has gone into the grants and work to get our field irrigated and turfed as well as the ladies change rooms that look awesome. Graham Steele, John Leon, Rebecca Hickey and great supporters of the club have worked tirelessly to access these funds and make our grounds the envy of the Far North Coast competition.
Paul Davies (Commish) has kindly taken some great photos of the well run trial game on Sunday. There was a lot of work, compliance and hoops to jump through to get this game underway and Chris Hickey’s ability to organise was there for all to see yesterday. Much credit to the day’s success must also go to Al Barrett and Al Noble who were also tireless in getting stuff done. Along with a small group of volunteers, they definitely deserved a beer after the game.
Training starts this week and if you are sitting on the fence, we strongly suggest that you rock up to the club on Thursday at least to brush off the cobwebs and get cracking for the season ahead. Feel free to ask mates along as we would love to build some depth.
