Pre Season is Firing Up.

PRE SEASON TRAINING.

The coaching appointments have been made for the 2023 season and are as follows:

1st Grade            - Chris Hickey, Karl Lupton, Paul Morgan

 2nd Div                - Mick Greenhalgh

 Women                - To Be Filled.

 Colts                     - Syd Malietoa

Our senior coaching team Chris Hickey Karl Lupton, Paul Morgan and Mick Greenhalgh have formulated a games based training program to kick the 2023 season off. There is plenty of knowledge in this coaching group and many players will benefit from the training, drills and experience of these coaches.

The program commences at 6pm on Thursday February 2nd and will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month. The Gilberts are pumped and the witches hats are set up. It’ll be fast and furious fun for all.

New players are always welcome, so grab a mate and rock on down to Quays Reserve.

Don’t think about it, do it! A successful season starts now, not when Cookie blows the whistle in April.

We’re also seeking people interested in assisting coaching our senior women’s team this season. Please feel free to reach out if you need to know more.

 The Seahorses will be fielding four senior teams this year (Firsts, Reserves, Under 18’s and Women’s X’s) and six junior teams (Boys under 8’s, 10’s, 12’s and 15’s and girls under 15’s and 17’s)

CLUB COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENT

The new club executive and committee has been finalised and it is with great anticipation we welcome some new leaders in our club. This committee is a good blend of experience and enthusiasm where all members are looking to improve the clubs prospects and build a community supporting our broader membership group. Please note there are 4 open positions available for junior parents or Women’s competition. Ballina Rugby Union Club is one club and presides over all divisions. This committee is your opportunity to ensure your division has a say in the administration of our wonderful club.
